The Faculty of Theology, in partnership with Kateri Native Ministry, invites you to participate in Kendaasawin, a retreat with Indigenous elders. The retreat will offer theology students an experience of immersion in various aspects of Indigenous spirituality and a time of listening and dialogue with a group of elders who will lead the retreat. There will be times of ceremony, teaching, discussion, sharing and community meals. The intention of the retreat is to contribute to reconciliation and healing relationships through active listening and respectful dialogue with Indigenous peoples.
Date: May 20 to 21, 2025, starting early in the morning at sunrise.
Location: 5642 Ferry Road, Fitzroy Harbour ON
The retreat time includes lunches and refreshments. However, participants will be responsible for arranging their own accommodations and transportation (more information about possibilities will be forthcoming). In addition, students at Saint Paul University will have the opportunity to register in a 3-credit directed readings course to accompany the retreat.
Registration will be capped at 30 participants, so please only register if you have the intention of fully participating (both days).
